Looking For Leads
Posted by: David Carrithers Date: July 24, 2001 at 14:07:05

I am looking for any leads on information a Charles A. (Angus?) Carrithers. He was from somewhere in the Kentucky, Tenn. or Missouri. He would have been born in around 1890 and died in the mid 1960s.

He was my fathers (Charles H. Carrithers) father. My Dad passed away 10+ years ago and any link to information about the Carrithers side of the family passed with him (he was an only child).

What I know is my grand-father came from a rural up bring (i.e. the first shoes he ever wore came from the US Army in WW1.) And that he married my grand-mother, Alice Potter of New York in the late 1920's after the war.

When my farther was 2 years old his Charles A. (my grand father) took off and was not heard from until his death in the mid 1960's (he went back into the service...)

I am trying to find my family connection on the Carrithers side... I have never met anyone from this side of the family.

Thanks - Dave C
