Hi Carmen, My name is Bert Carrion. I was born in Luquillo, grew up in NY, and now live in Michigan. My grandfather name was Luis Carrion y Robles. My father's name is Luis Carrion y Ortiz. I ask my dad if he remembered a Miguel Carrion or a Francisco Carrion, but he didn't. In our family, there is a Miguel Carrion. He was the grandfather of my grandfather Luis. My guess is that Miguel was born in the 1850's, since my grandfather was born in the 1870's. I agree with you that the Carrion's from Luquillo and Sabana are related. I don't how much you have on your family, but I share what I have. According to the 1910 Puertorican census, Miguel was 49 and Geronima was 43. They were married 30 years. Geronima had 11 children, 9 that were living in 1910. They were Dolores, female age 14; Aurora, female age 12; Elias, male age 11; Aureliana, female age 9; Miguel, male age 8; Geronima, female age 7; Francisco, male age 5; Guillermina, female age 4; and Francisco, male age 4 months. Apparently according to the 1920 census, Miguel must have died between 1910-1920 since he is not listed. All of Geronima's children are listed living with her except Dolores, whom I assumed probably married. My grandfather had several brothers. My grandfather died in 1928 and the family stayed to themselves raising several orphan children. Since your grandfather Miguel died before my father was born, my dad would not have much memory of him if he were an uncle. My grandfather's father's name was Pio. Hope this helps. Bert
