My (2)Charles left a Will in 1817. In it he mentions his wife Elizabeth and 4 of his 8 children: Mary Christian by his first wife (Elizabeth King), Elizabeth Alice, James Henry and Sarah Ann, by his second wife, Elizabeth Hite or Hyte. The first marriage was in 1802 and the second in 1810.
His first son: Charles Henry died when he was 4 or 5 months old. The next child of Charles and the first Elizabeth was mentioned in the Will, Mary Christian. Her sister born in 1811, Sara Webb is not mentioned, she may have died young. Elizabeth Alice is my Great Great Grandmother. She was born in 1812 to Charles and Elizabeth Hite or Hyte.
I have an email from a Stanley Carrington in Barbados and he has written a book about Carringtons. He sent me some pages in an email all about my Charles Carringtons, but they do not make anything any clearer. If you would like I could forward the email to you. It tells a lot but does not help at all.
IF the birth register of (2)Charles Carrington was a mistake in mixing the names of Katherine________? and Christian Partridge, then everything would be explained about the two Charles (1) and (2). Because Charles and Christian had sons name William and Charles, and a William deceaced was mentioned in (2)Charles Will as his brother and William Carrington died in 1807.
