Hi Gary

I am a Carrington descendant. I may have been in touch with you before. My Ancestors are the Charles Carrington's who there is controversy about: Whether there was a (1)Charles Carrington who married a lady named Katherine and their supposed son called (2)Charles Carrington who married two different Elizabeth's. Elizabeth King in 1802 and Elizabeth Hite in 1810 and had a brother called Willim mentioned in Charles' Will.

If a death date could be found for Elizabeth King, then that controversy about both Elizabeths would be finished.

There does not seem to be a brother (2)Charles for the three children of Charles and Christian Carrington, maybe my (2)Charles Carrington was an illegitimate son. Which was not documented anywhere, except his birth in 1781, 2 years after the last child of Charles and Christian Carrington.

That would explain how the William noted as Charles' brother in (2)Charles Carrington's Will in 1817 could be his brother and why the supposed (1)father of (2)Charles had no parentage.
Any thoughts?

Beth Hill
