About the Kerrigan/Carrigan thing. The letter 'K' doesn't exist in the gaelic language so Kerrigan is just another phonetic anglicization of the original gaelic root O'Carragáin/O'Corrágain ?? as are Carrigan and Corrigan. All us Kerrigans, Carrigans and Corrigans have British Administration and/or the guys at Ellis Island to thank for our surnames! Am going to contact the Irish Department in Trinity College, Dublin to track down Gaelic root.
