FALL RIVER – Jeannette A. (Carrier) Dickinson, 100, of Wilbur Avenue, Somerset, formerly of Cottell Heights, Fall River, died on Monday December 31, 2007, at Clifton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Somerset. Born in Fall River, MA; she was the daughter of the late Charles and Georgianna (Chabot) Carrier, she was the wife of the late George Dickinson, Sr.
Mrs. Dickinson had worked in area manufacturing companies in Fall River, retiring in 1965. A member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, she enjoyed word search puzzles and had played Bingo right up until her age of 100.
She leaves one daughter, Maureen Bedard and her husband Paul of Tiverton, RI; one son, George Dickinson, Jr., and his wife Carol of Somerset, MA; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dickinson was the mother of the late William Dickinson and the sister of the late Charles, Ferdinand, Edward, and Rena Carrier, Irene Ellis, Edmee Hebert and Lauretta Astle.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 5, 2008, at 9:00AM in Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, 529 Eastern Avenue, Fall River, MA. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3:00-6:00PM in THE HEBERT-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 945 S. Main St., Fall River, MA.
