Sorry, we must be talking about different Louis Carriers. Mine was born in Nion in Poitou, France & m. Marie Delormo 1 Dec. 1785. The only one I have born 1833 was Belizaire, g-grandson of Louis. He had a g-grandson named Louis, b. 1826. My Louis didn't get to the U.S. His son, Louis Antoine was born in France & m. Mariana Hache in N.O. He had 2 sons: Pierre (b. 15 May 1788) & Louis Antoine II (b. 11 March 1791. Both sons settled in Avoyelles parish. By the way, we spell the name Charrier now.
