If you go to "Search this forum" and type in my name, you'll see two entries by me dated Oct 19, 2000. The 2nd one lists the following info:

I have a 1915 History of Harrison Co., Iowa, with a biography for Edwin C. Carrier, born Nov 1850, Cass Co., Michigan, son of Elias and Rosette (Luce) Carrier, natives of New York. Edwin was aged 4 when his father died, leaving Mrs. Carrier with 8 children, Edwin being the youngest. The mother kept the family together and Edwin lived with her until he moved west in 1870. I hope this helps someone.

All of the biographies for Harrison Co., Iowa, are now on-line and you can access them, without any charge, at
