I agree totally with your comments BUT it's almost
impossible to find anything in writing to confirm our suspicions.
I've seen writings mentioning that Thomas was one of
the King's body guards due to his size, which seems to
indicate that he was on the kings side before or during the
war. Did he change sides OR was he forced to be the executioner
Or was he just the bodyguard while the king was in
Cromwells captivity?
I toured the tower in the early 80's, prior to getting involved
in genealogy, wish I could do that over again. It sort of explains the
erie feeling I had when I was there and why the Ravens
didn't like me.
