Have been following all the in-put on Carrier and my ears/eyes really perked up when someone mentioned a Carrier in VA. My gr-gr-gr-grandmother was SARAH CARRIER. All I have is that she married Samuel Funk who died December 1827. Sarah died 3/15/1827 at age 95. They were Methodists, had a daughter, Nannie; their second child and eldest son was Jonathan Funk, my gr-gr-grandfather. This family seemed to stay in the Valley of Virginia for many years; the Funks moved there in 1786. Maybe this will plug some of the holes in your search; do you have anything additional on my line? Thanks
