Carriers/Corriers of New Brunswick Canada

On a lark I've decided to look into my family history and was shocked to discover how many Carrier results were on the internet. I was wondering if anyone would have some information on my branch of the family. As far as I know my Great grandfather was named Ernest Carrier, sometimes pronounced Corrier. He was married to Alice (Lapointe?) I am not sure of their birthplace, however know that they lived in Belledune with family in Jacquet River. I would love any further information that any of you have to offer. I'm also very curious whether there is any connection to the Many Carrier lines in the US, mainly in New England or Mass.
