I went to Jefferson message board and found e-mail I sent way back in 04 re Delayed Birth Certificates recorded in Elk County Courthouse..I never got a response and forgot and probably missplaced my notes but you'll find leads to the Jeffersons once of Lake City:
DBC for Earl Jefferson b. 4/11/1877 Spring Creek Twp...Father, Thomas H. Jefferson bor 1846 in England, near London..died 1910 (member PA Bucktails 42 Reg).Mother, Elizabeth Frances Clover b. 9/15/1853 died 10/10/1933 born in Summerville, Jeff County.
DBC of Grace Jefferson (Grace Wicks) b Aug. 1, 1885 Spring Creek Twp. Hallton. father and mother same as above for Earl
DBC of Harry Hall Jefferson b. 11/23/1889 of Warren Pa in 1942, born Spring Creek Twp., father, Thomas, mother, Elizabeth Frances Clover, born Brookville
DBC Minnie Margaret Jefferson (Tucker) of Ohio in 1943 born 6/20/1904, Loleta, at sawmill, Forest Co., father Thomas Harrison Jefferson, born Lake City, mother Leota Ellen Kahl Jefferson , born Sigel. I assume Minnie was the daughter of Thomas Harrison Jefferson, Jr.
Online at familysearch 1880 Fed Census lists Thomas Jefferson, age 32 born England, laborer location of father and mother's birth is not listed
Wife Elzabeth Jefferson, age 25 born PA father and mother born PA, Frank Jefferson, son age 9 born PA at School
Charles Jefferson son, age 7 at school, LeRoy Jefferson, son age5, Earl Jefferson, son, age 3 and Thomas Jefferson, age 1.
Inscription on tombstones in Lake City cemetery from Caskey book lists birth of Thomas H. Jefferson as 1846.
I did a quick search for neighbors of Thomas H. Jefferson and family in 1880...neighbors were people probably living near the Clarion river ..was the times when timber was being cut and taken down the Clarion...later Thomas H Jefferson bought land from J.K.Moore and built a house near the Olson place.
Maiden name of the wife of Thomas was Clover..I do not have the name of her parents...there was at least one Clover family living in Lake City area...Clovers were in Brookville...well-written up in Brookville history...early land sales in the area of Hallton and Spring Creek listed Grantor as Clover..Levi Clover was probably a Judge in Brookville..Phillip Clover was a very early settler..first in Armstrong county which became Clarion County...interments were in old cemetery in Clarion County along with other very early settlers which included the Loves, Wilsons,and PeterJones (my genealogy)..
