While researching for inf re Lake City are I found birth dates re the Carrier surname. Possibly you might already have them but I'll send them anyway.

Thomas W. Raine came from Ironton, Ohio to Summerville, PA Jefferson county where on October 16, 1873 he married Miss Mary E. Carrier (unknown her parents name)..Thomas Rain was in the mill business in Clarion county before he purchased land in the Lake City area. Apparenlty his business partner was Mr. Carrier, possibly the father of his wife.

My grandfather worked for Thomas W. Raine in Clarion county at his mill. My grandfather went to Lake City area to work with Thomas Raine. in 1891 Thomas Raine purchaed 1,555 acres of land from Henry Moore of Lake City
with plans to take out the timber and later built a mill at the site. The village which grew up around the mill became known as Rainetown/Raintown.

Rainetown existed from about 1892-1905 when it closed. Many of the residents of Lake City and the nearby rural area worked at Rainetown therefore the names in the Lake City cemetery include many former Rainetown employees.

Births in Rainetown: Robert A. Carrier 2/26/1903 to Mary Blanche and James Henry Carrier; James F. Carrier, 9/10/1899 to Mary B and James F. Carrier; Viola Madge Carrier 2/16/1897 to Mary and J. H. Carrier (laborer)
Brith in Rainetown: Richard O. Raines/Raine 1/10/1897 to Edna and John Raines/Rain
Born Rainetown: Myrtle (Maggie) Smith to Emma E. and Christopher (Jobber) on 12/1/1895; Sarah Elizabeth Smith to Hattie and Christopher on 5/9/1896;

Birth Carman: Katherine E. Carrier 12/1/1902 to Nellie and E. Carrier; Alice C. Carrier 1/18/1905 to Nellie and H.S. (?); Helen Carrier 5/2/1904 to Nettie and Ernest Carrier; Peter O. Carrier 9/27/1906 to Nettie and Ernest Carrier; Helen Carrier 1903 to Nettie and Ernest Carrier

Death 5/2/1904 of Helen Carrier, age 8yrs, 8 mo, 5 days, born Carman

Born Empire: Margaret H. Raine 10/5/1900 to Elma and John Raine (John was brother of Thomas) John eventually followed Thomas to Rainetown ..the business became known as Raine and Raine..

Birth Empire: John Raine 3/6/1902 to Elma and John Raine
