Alexander born 1749?

The story goes, that there was an Alexander Carrico b. abt 1749 who fought in the the Revolution in Capt. Billy Porter's, Mass. 15th Reg. This Alexander married 1st, Elizabeth Foster, and married 2nd Mary Sedgewick. From the 2nd marriage, a son named Henry C. was born in 1808, who was a resident of Ky. when just a boy.
Various sources state that Henry C.'s father Alexander Carrico died at age 80 in Ind.
(When and where?)

The pension papers for Alexander of Capt. Billy Porter's Co. contains a paper dated June 1820, wherein it states that Alexander was age 72 and living in Mass., his wife (unnamed) was age 70. This Alexander, according to the pension papers, had recently fallen off of a horse (in 1820), and was almost totaly disabled.

Did not Henry C's father go with him to Ky?
If his father is the above Alexander, then he went to Ky, back to Mass., and sometime later to Ind. to die at age 80, when being almost totaly disabled at age 72 in 1820??????

I am having trouble with all of this information on Alexander. Can someone help to clarify?

Regards,
Linda
