In my family tree there may be some information that may help or it may not be of any use. My ancestors are from the Stauton, Virginia area, as far as I know. My g.grdfthr: Simeon Carricoffe-b.7-1-1833,d.3-23-1911, m.-Nancy Jane Burford-b.1-18-1839 d.
3-22-1907.
Children: George M. Carricoffe-b.1-18-1872 d.3-23-1952. Charles D. Carricoffe-b.7-9-1878,d.8-26-1889. Laura Bell Carricoffe-b.1-8-1881,d.1-1927. Walter Hamilton Carricoffe-b.4-12-1884,d.12-13-1971.
My grdfthr: Walter stated that they changed the name because of their nationality, but I don't know whether this is so, because all that would know is deceased. All children were married except for Charles. I have a little more information if needed. I hope this may help. I would deeply appreciate any information concerning this family if possible. I only know this far back. Thank you.
