I have posted a detailed message concerning the family of Wilkerson, or Wilt, Carrico (ca. 1802 - aft 1850) of Wythe Co, VA, 2nd son of Peter Carrico and Nancy Wilkerson of Grayson Co, VA. This message is on the Shupe GenForum, under the name 'James Shupe (+Pauley, Carrico-Wythe Co)'.

Thanks in large part to information provided by Marian Bryson McGowen, it is very certain that this family consisted of:

Wilkerson Carrico, b ca 1802 [1850 Census], m. 1) Aurelia _________ , m possibly 2) Isabella; of Wythe Co, VA

children:

1)Ann (1826/27 - aft 1 Jun 1880), m. Josiah [Joshiah] Pauley (1824 - bef 1 Jun 1880), laborer, later Sgt, Co B, 45th Virginia infantry - possibly Lieutenant

2)_____ (1829/30 - )

3)Martha (1831/32)

4)James (1834/35)

5)Elizabeth Louise (1836/37), claimed b. 4 mar 1838 [LDS Ancestral Files], d 17 Dec 1888, m. 6 Sep 1856 to Rufus Creger

6)Hezekiah [Hesikia] (1838/39)

7)Sarah (1840/41)
