The author of the article in the Palantine Journal, is Professor Kenneth L. Carvell. He states at the end of his article that "correspondence may be addressed to him at"
Rt. 7, Box 604, Morgantown, PA 26505. If you write to him, he might share his source material.

In the article Prof. Carvell states that in 1787, Rev. John Stough, a Luthern minister settles in what is today West Virginia- then probably Preston Co.- Aurora area -with a number of other settlers who were "former Hessian soldiers" who decided not to return to Hesse at the end of the Rev. War. Prof. Carvell includes the name Peter Carrico, but I question if this Peter Carrico was actually a former Hessian soldier.
