Hello, I'd like to add something that may or may not clear up some of the confusion on Abel and William Carrico in Fairfax Co., Va. I am a descendant of Benoni and Jean Kent of Fairfax. He wrote the following in his will in 1772 : "I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Ann Caracoe two cows and two calves with the other things I formerly lent her. My will is that the remainder part of my estate be equally divided between my other ten children...viz John, Samuel, Daniel, Thomas, Sampson and Peter, Susanner, Mary, Sarah and Elizabeth."

No marriage records exist for Fairfax Co. during that time period, so if Able and Ann were married there it cannot be known, and they are not reflected in Md. marriage records. However, it is apparent that Ann and Able had been married well before Benoni's will made August 5, 1772. Kent researchers estimate Benoni's birth ca. 1725; indicating that possibly Ann's date of birth was around 1750. Hope these dates help.
