There are two Alexander's. Henry's father was Alexander b:?1749 to Peter Carrico Jr. and ??. Peter Jr was s/o Peter Carrico and first wife Ann Gates (second wife Margaret Gates was Ann's cousin). Alexander was a Minute Man and awarded land in Montgomery Co MD for his service. He married Mary Sedgewick abt 1790. They had 8 children. Henry was the 5th. My ggggrandfather was James, the 8th child. Alexander came to KY, but later went to Poplar Bluff, MO and then on to Indiana where he died in 1840. (not sure what County)

The other Alexander was in Massachusets. He was born 19 Feb 1747 to Thomas Carrico and Sarah Carrico according to St Paul's records page 23. Also on page 23 lists his brother John, born 7 Oct 1745 to Thomas Carrico and Jane McCant. This info came from John Sissom. John concluded that the mother was Sarah Jane McCant Carrico, but admitted that it is still a (?). This Alexander married Elizabeth Foster in Beverly,MA 28 Aug 1770. She survived as his widow.
