I have reason to beleive that Louisa(Hannah)(1848) was my Grandmother, and that my grandfather, Otho(Otha) Ambrose Sweet(2/29/1884) was her son. She is listed as his mother on his WWI draft card. Clark E Stanberry also lists her as his mother on his WWI draft card. On his marriage cert he lists Columbus and Louisa Sweet as his parents. I have never found them, but with the Carrells names.
Hannah(Louisa) was first married to Adam Columbus Carrell. In the 1880 census they have 5 children. Flora, Cecil, Cynthia, Zeta and Orvil. Adam died in Jan 1882. Louisa then married William H Stanberry in Dec of 1882.All told she had 12 children with 9 that lived. She died in April 1935.
Somewhere I think my grandfather fits in, I just don't know where.
Her children with Adam Carrell are not listed with the Stanberry children in the 1900 census, but just where did they all go? I have found Zeta Carrell Tipsword in my search.
I've wondered if they were sent to other families, or were old enough to go on their own.
