THe site up now the Carroll comes into my Namesake that was the last living signer of hte Declaration of Independence in Carrollton GA,There is an interesting dynamic with your surnames and mine ,.The Thorntons of this area all hauled off to Pickens, County, AL abt 1820, The Adams were here with the french as were others, THe LEE_Kelley came for NC Anson 9ABt SCotland COunty Now) abt 1780-90 All this after the REv War.
THere are other related names before 1700 to French and Spanish Colonial Periods
