Hi Norma,

This is merely a hunch here...But I found you due to a Wilburn posting...The Wilburns and Carrolls and Moore's were allied families. I know nothing about families in TX...but getting back to my hunch, since folks tended to marry into the same lines for a hundred years or more, makes me think that the Carrolls you are seeking came out of Balitmore Co MD c 1723...Charles Carroll on some land deeds that year...Later descendants relocated to Granville Co/Orange Co NC c 1770 (Luke Carroll was in Rev War)and from there to other parts of NW NC, Surry NC and also Grayson Co VA and then to TN and then some Carrolls went
on to TX...

Anyhow this is something to consider.
