EARLY VA CARREL's

I have found a land patent for 400 acres, issued in 1735 for a Thomas
Jones. It mentions James Defur, Robert Adams, and Carrel's Creek. The patent was in Goochland on the "north side of the Rivanna
River near the mountains." This area had few inhabitants prior to the 1730's and it appears Carrel's Creek no longer exsists or has been renamed. I have found the surname "Carrel" associated with the Moorman and Adams families who were also in this area at this time. Peter Jefferson (father to Pres. Thomas) and the Randolph family was also in this area of early Goochland (formed 1727). If anyone has connections to the Carrel family in this area of VA, please contact me.
