for lineage on William Carraway go to google and then type in CLAYTON CARRAWAY CONNECTION --where you will find the Carraways in Early America and a good line on them until late 1700's and early 1800's. William Carraways are mentioned in each generation.
I am a direct descendat of the Orignial John D. Carraway who arrive circa 1636 from York or Lacock England whose fateher was a Mr. Carraway (first name unknown but believed to be Edward) and married Anne Foster. Note the Thomas Jefferson Connection. a few generations later.
I woul denjoy hearing from all as I have much history on the Carraways in early America and a Cousin who records Carraways who go back to Revolutionary War, Mexican America War and Civil War gboth sides John originally came from Virginia and migrated to Craven County NC. all this info is on the site I mentioned aboue.
Edward A,. Carraway 13 times removed John D. Carraway.
