My wife's GGGrandfather was James S. Mackey, b. 1835 in SC, d. 1918 in Birmingham, AL. JSM is buried in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.
We are interested in his wife, who a family Bible identifies as Louise Martha Carr
(1850-1905). In the 1900 census JSM and LM(C)M are living in Bessamer, AL, where she is called "Lula." We have no idea who LMCarr was; we find no record for her whatsoever. We are hoping someone knows of "Lula." The 1900 census says LMM was born in Alabama, but we are skeptical.
