Francis Aloysious Carpenter
I'm looking for more info on my great grandfather, Francis Aloysious Carpenter, b. June 24, 1881 in Brooklyn, NY.He married Mary Louise Fort and they had a daughter, Marian Elizabeth Carpenter, b. July 6, 1902 in Brooklyn. She married George Doss in Syracuse, NY and they had a son, Ramon George Doss.Marian died Nov. 2, 1928.
Francis went by Frank. He was a railroad engineer for the Brooklyn Rapid Transit Authority in WWI time frame. He filled out a draft registration card for WWII in 1942 when he was 60 years old.I can't find anything for him after that.He may have died in 1948 or 1949 possibly in Queens, NY since it is location listed as residence on WWII registration card.
Does anyone know this family? His daughter was only child with Mary Louise.I heard he divorced later on.When Marian died in 1928 her obit indicates she is survived by Frank and Mary Carpenter of Brooklyn, NY so they were still married at that time.Thank you for reading this.
