"Mrs. Lucretia C.Carouthers, a native of Penn. She came to Kentucky in a company with Col. Robert Patterson. She settled in Fayette county, and was one of the first to reside in Lexington. She died Sept. 12, 1847, at the residence of Samuel Bushby, in Mt. Sterling. She was 86 years of age."
This ran in the Lexington Observer and reporter on Sept. 18, 1847.
