I am trying to track down the ancestors of my paternal grandmother. This much information I have. Her name was Mattie Edwin Carothers. She was born in Haskell, Texas on August 14, 1877 and died April 15, 1962 in Haskell, Texas.
She married Louis Eugene Marr on November 25, 1894. According to the 1900 census for Haskell, Texas, her father was born in Tennessee. His name may have been Andy. M. Carothers as Andy was a boarder with Mattie and Louis at the time. Andy was born August 1848. His father is listed as having been born Georgia and his mother born in Tennessee. Any information on this line of Carothers will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Phillip
