Hi Sue
I see you are a FlatRock Mich, Gal, I'm a Livonia MI Boy, and the Sarah you seek is in my family line, There is alot in which I wish not to disclose concerning the family here on GenForum. And preffer you contact me via Email@[email protected]
This I will say right here, you belong to Hugh & Sarah Pruvanice Carruthers, Hugh is the twin to my ancestor, and we as family of Carruthers wereas follows.
The first to arrive in NC's southern quad.
Hugh Carruthers Sr 1754 Mecklinburg, all records state Orange .
Robert & Magaret Gillespie Carruthers 1764 Cabaruss, and Rowan Co,NC. Oldest brother of Hugh Sr.
Andrew & Maraget Neely Carothers 1764 Cabaruss Co,NC., Nephew to Hugh Sr.
Robert & James Carothers 1774 Mecklenburg Co.NC. Nephews of Hugh Sr and sons of John, Hugh's twin.
Hugh's son Hugh Jr is the one of Orange County , and Madison Co,Ala.My lineRobert above (1774 NC) was the first in the middle valley by surname, Settling in Williamson,& Bedford Co.'s TN. 9 years after Robert settled in TN, Hugh Sr's son Robert moved to Sumner Co,TN. , and his son Robert Settled in Lincoln Co,TN. , and my family held lands in Lincoln Co, at the time we arrived all counties mensioned were Davidson Co,TN.
From here the fogg, and confusion I will not air here.I wil be more then happy to explain why you can't get any higher, I will say it has a lot to do with confusion and incorrect data on the famiy, brought forth by poor research, and the fogg has carried now for over 70 years.
