Just to update after working on this for a few years:

Louis Shelton Carnline was the son of Jeremiah and Mary Long Carnline. He married his first cousin, Elizabeth Carnline (daughter of Daniel Carnline). They were still living together in the 1910 census in LA. He and Levi both served in the Civil War.

Levi Shelton Carnline was the son of Daniel and Roseanna Hendrix Carnline. He was a brother to Elizabeth Carnline.
Apparently, he was married 3 times according to the 1910 census. He was first married to Mary Oliver. The 1910 census shows he is married for the 3rd time Mary Elizabeth Tyler. They had been married 12 years.
