Kay - thanks for the information. I have packed all my genealogy data in preparation for a move to Florida. Once I'm settled in down there, I'll check files, notes, etc. and get back to you. Do you know where Wallace Carney was born? Some researchers believe there was a "Carney/Polk" connection in the late 1700's or early 1800's but no proof has been found at that early date. Try to contact June Pollard (she is on the Genforum Site)- she may have more information than I have access to at the moment. I'll keep in touch.
