My gggggrandparents were Samuel & Lydia Anderson Carney who lived in Norfolk County area. Samuel's 2nd wife was Nancy. They had a son, William Loid Wheeler Carney.

Samuel & Lydia's children were:
Barneby b: 19 FEB 1819 d: 16 SEP 1834
Margret b: 27 JUL 1820 d: 23 SEP 1837
Ann B b: 03 MAR 1822
John B b: 05 NOV 1824 d: 17 JUN 1836
James b: 01 JAN 1827
Samuel b: 19 JAN 1830 d: 22 DEC 1832
Stephon b: 08 OCT 1832 d: 10 OCT 1832
Thomas b: 21 NOV 1833 d: 20 SEP 1835
Sarah b: 22 OCT 1836 *(my gggmother)
Lydia b: 25 DEC 1840

*Sarah first married John Brown 07 JUL 1857 @ Trinity Church in Portsmouth, VA. He was born in Lancaster, PA & his parents were Christopher & Maria Brown. She was widowed (I don't know the details) & later married Calvin Rieves (also known as Decalb Reeves)(again, I don't know the details) on 08 OCT 1862. He was a farmer & the son of William & Sally Rieves of Washington Co., NC.

My gggrandmother was Sarah Ann Isabella Reeves. my ggrandmother was Mary Ann Sibley "Mamie".
