I found a newspaper clipping with photo of Henry Carney in the keepsakes of my deceased parents, Leonard and Mary-Lattea Woolard. The headline reads: Ripley Boy Killed at Pearl Harbor. It lists his father as W. O. Carnery, a farmer of the Sycamore community. It continues to say Henry is Jackson county's first sacrifice in the war. I would be happy to make copies for anyone interested but especially would like to return it to immediate family. I would also like to know if he was a friend of my parents who settled here in Portage County, Ohio in 1946.
