Mary,
My grandfather was John Carney dob 1869-1870 Ireland dod 7/1907 Brooklyn, NY. One result of his early death at 37 was family connections were lost. My mother did tell me however that my gfather's brother William and a sister Mary came to the US with him or about the same time (1890). My mother said William lived in Brooklyn but that Mary had moved somewhere in New Jersey and at that point the family lost touch with her. John's father was Timothy Kearny and his mother was Mary Baynham. If you haven't done so already, I would suggest if you knew where your Mary died, you could obtain a copy of her death certificate. That should give you her parents names and approximate dob. It will also in general terms give you the place of her birth. If you care to contact me feel free to do so. My e-mail is: jmcginn540@aol.com
