Hello Lainie:

For Mary Carney B 1902 (exact), somewhere in Ireland, with a father fornamed Pat(rick), I found 3 rcds: 1902 Derry, 1902 Cork, and 1902 Tyrone. Note - Athy parishes are in Co. Kildare. This parish name may be used in another county, but not in Derry, Cork, or Tyrone.

B/M/D registration was civil after 1863. Civil rcds which survived the 1922 Four Courts fire haven't been fully transcribed. Suggest you contact the General Register Office at http://www.groireland.ie for these. Fees apply.
