Hi Tonya,
I am sorry it took so long to answer you, it seems my email I had here was closed without me knowing it in 09. I have put the new email write me at carneydna@yahoo.com
I will have to put up a new website soon as geocities closed.
What the DNA Y test does is compare your male Carney
lineage to other Males in the project. To date we have the
TN/NC Davidson early settlers tested. THe Lawrence and MArion MS Early Settlers tested and the Choctaw County, AL early settlers tested. These families all match. We don't know yet where in Ireland they are from but they are also part of the Irish Heritage DNA project. Most of these R1b Markers (type of DNA we are Haplotypes) are in North Ireland. we are looking at Donegal Ireland. WE would like for any Carneys to contact me by email and I will direct you to the testing info sign up etc.
Thanks for your interest, looking for to hearing from carneys
DJ Thornton
