I am hoping someone will be able to help me, start to unravel a mystery.
1) Does anyone know anything about Elizabeth Carney who married John O'Donnell? They were living in Co Cork in 1881. They had several children, but the one I'm most interested in here in John F O'Donnell who married Bridget Doherty in 1881, in Carndoangh Co Donegal.
Elizabeth and John (parents) I know absolutely nothing about. Does anyone have any information on them?
When their son John F, married Bridget Doherty. They left Ireland in 1881, and immigrated to MA in USA. They had several children. and those children were my grandmothers and her sibblings cousin.
Mystery: My grandmothers name was Mary Ann O'Donnell, her parents were James O'Donnell, and Susan Doherty from Carndonagh Co Donegal. Since I know that the two families from Cork, and Donegal were cousins. Which side O'Donnell or Doherty.? How would I find out. What a mystery.
2) If anyone can help find out about John O'Donnell(father to John F) and Elizabeth Carney that may help at least some.
Sorry for rambling, I'm just completely frustrated in this mystery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
