Brick wall - parents of John CARNEY b. 10/15/1833 KY. Served in Illnois Infantry - Civil War, discharged 1866. Married Sarah Simms Puckett prior to War. Children: Amandy 1863, James 1866, William 1868, Emma 1871, Effie 1873. In IL on 1880 census, moved to Benton County,AR, where wife died in early 1881. According to census, his father was born in TN. Apparently not related to Washington County, AR, Carneys as can find no connection. Anyone have ancestor data on John? Let's share info.
