Hello.. I just noticed your message. I thought it rather interesting that your great grandmother was married in Port Huron. There was a large family of McKenzie's living near Port Huron from ~1858 until recently and the elder John McKenzie had married one Mary Carney in Lewiston, NY in 1828. They then went to Canada and then Sanilac Co. MI. Their son John married in 1861 and they had a son born in Buffalo, Erie Co, NY in 1862. I believe they may have been in that area because of his mother's family (Carney's). Bertha may have traveled to MI to see family.

Does any of this sound remotely possible? Good Luck ..Kathy
