Thanks for the information. I have been stuck trying to find more on Jesse Carney for at least six years. His son Jessie is somewhat a mystery also. I have him in 1840 and 1850, but he then avoided the census taker until 1880. His son James Jefferson also does not appear in the census but I have information on his Civil War enlistment and his 2nd marriage.
