Any information regarding family of Edmund D Carney, Free Methodist Minister, born KY 1 Apr 1830 and died at Churdan, Green Co, IA 8 Jan 1898. Had one known sister, Elizabeth Ann Carney Jenks (wife of Seymour Ensign Jenks.) They were the children of Andrew Carney and Martha Smith Carney. Suspect they were the Andrew Carney and Betsy Smith married 1 Nov 1825 in Wilkes Co, NC. Edmund Carney married 24 July 1853 in Benton Co, IN. and had at least four children: Andrew, Martha 1856, James 1857, and Gideon 1860. After first wife died, Edmund married, late in life, Nancy Fitz (widow of A.M. Smith.) After Edmund's death she married Henry D. Rogers.
