I don't know if your interested or not but on my grandfather's baptism cert. I recieced from St. Patrick's Church, Quebec one of his sponsors was listed as Catherine Carney. You probably know this but St. Patrick's was a very Irish church and may be a source for you? Thought I'd let you know about this Carney anyway, the date of the baptism was Dec. 8, 1878. My grandfather was Peter Jordan, his mom was Anne Reddy/Ready and father was William Jordan.
