Brian,

Re your message - have you any more info about Owen Carney the shoemaker - My Great Grandmother's brother Owen (dob c1882) emigrated to the US in 1905 on the Baltic - Their father, Michael, was the local shoemaker in the village in Ireland where they came from (Curraghsallagh Co Roscommon) & I know that their elder brother Andrew carried on the trade until the mid/late 1940's when he died - They also had a younger brother James d.o.b c 1890 (maybe known as Jack?) who I think may also have come across to the US - I believe my Owen originally headed for Newark NJ when he arrived in the States but I'm not sure where he settled ultimately

If this ties in with any of your stuff please get in touch as I'd be happy to share what info I have

Cathy
