My Carneys lived in NYC in the late 1800s/ early 1900s, but I am having difficulty finding their Irish roots.

James Carney, b 1870 Ireland
Married
Mary E. Mullin, b 1869 Ireland

They lived in Brooklyn.

Parents names are Henry Carney and Bridget Monahan, William Mullin and Catherine xxx.

Does this ring a bell with anyone out there? Sure would appreciate a response.
