Lori, I have a Willard CARNEY b. in 1850s in Kalamazoo Co., MI. If you think this name is unique enough to have a connection I'll try to find more info on him. His father was Silas CARNEY, son of John, who moved from PA > NY > MI in the 1830s. Silas's other children were William, John Jay, Edna, Harriet, Polly Ann, Byron, Lucretia, Anson and Charles. Some of these names are rather uncommon ( I think), so who knows.
