According to info that I was given Eli was
b 1826 Green Co. PA His father was Matthew Carney b10-27-1799 Orange Co. NY d. 1864 Marion Co. IN Mother was Nancy McCord b 12-28-1798 NY d 187? Marion Co. IN Eli married Caroline Matthews . She died in 1865 I have no records on their family. Eli married Amanda McCullough on 4-16-1866 Shelby Co. IN
