CARNER/KARNER to America in 1710
Posted by: Bonnie Rams Date: October 08, 1998 at 17:06:45

My Carners came to New York in 1710 with the first ship load of Palatines from Germany. The had the name Koerner, then Karner and some became Carners. My line moved from New York to Massachusetts and were among the founders of Egremont, Berkshire Co., MA. From there to Ohio, Iowa and Colorado.
I have been in touch with Carners in the south, who believ they stem from Kernier of the Alsace region. Please enter this forum with you queries.
