Well, Andrew Carnegie was noted as a Steel Baron of Pittsburgh. He built the J Edger Thompson Steel Plant in Pittsburgh. He may not be related to your Andrew Carnegie who's mother was Margaret Morrsion Carnegie. One of the things he did in Pittsburgh was build Libraries. He started about 1884 and the order was recorded in his records later kept at the main Carnegie Library in Pittsburgh.

You might take a map of Pittsburgh and look up O'Hara Township. It's near Fox Chapel. O'Hara Township was named after General James O'Hara and his son Richard Butler O'Hara of Pittsburgh. All of the O'Hara records are located at Heinz History Center. They have the records under the O'Hara/Denny family of Pittsburgh.

So I guess the question is, I wonder if your Andrew Carnegie was related in any way to Andrew Carnegie who built the J Edgar Thompson Steel Works?
