I would suggest that you read the first few chapters of any of the biographies or 'THE' Andrew Carnegie's autobiography for information on 'Andrew Carnegie's siblings, parents, grandparents, etc'. He had only one surviving sibling, a brother, Thomas, who married and had a family, so that is a possible source for a cousin of your great-grandmother Arminda. (A daughter Ann, the second child of (THE) A.C.'s parents William and Margaret Carnegie, died in infancy.) His mother Margaret had four siblings: Thomas, the elder, who was the only one who stayed in Dunfermline, Fifeshire, Scotland. William immigrated to Ohio over ten years before in the company of his twin sisters and their husbands Mrs. Kitty (Thomas) Hogan and Mrs. Anna (Andrew) Aitken, both of whom settled in Allegheny, PA, and it can be assumed that they both had families. (THE) Andrew Carnegie was a first cousin of my great-great grandfather, Leander, who was the son of William, bother of (THE) A.C.'s mother Margaret Morrison. I would be interested to hear if either of them were the parents of your 'Arminda' as that would mean that WE are related as well! I hope this information helps you. Good luck.
