Hi all
Richard Caunter m Isabella Carnegy 1820 Penang Malaya. Children of this marriage are Robert Caunter 1819, Richard Carnegy Caunter 1821 and Isabella Caunter 1823 (the latter two are baptismal dates not birth).
I have the Will of Richard (dated 1851, registered only, he did not die then)he lists himself as, sometimes of George Town, Prince of Wales Island or Penang, now residing in Great King St, Edinburgh. There is no mention of his wife at that time, only the children and other's, I assume Isabella had died by that time. Richard Caunter was involved with the East India Railway Company, and on his daughters death cert Richard Caunter is referred to as a "Govt Official Penang"
Does anyone know who Isabella's parents might be?
